Are we paying $14.99 a month to play scenarios?Page 1

%26quot;We don't need no stinking scenarios!%26quot;

I think the reason that a lot of us are here is because we want the Open World RvR to be successful. I personally don't think there should be a lot of room in MMO's for instanced combat. %26quot;Massively Multiplayer%26quot; to me means that we all play together in the same world; not separated into parallel worlds. If you like instanced, class-based gameplay go play Guild Wars, Team Fortress 2, or Battlefield 2. You won't have to pay a subscription fee for those games and they are a lot of fun.

But if you want a more emmersive PvP experience you need to play... Well WAR is the closest thing we got and it's not nearly close enough.

So, thankfully, we have these forums. We have a place for the WAR community to help finish this game. The developers are truly asking for our help. They in fact desparately need it. We're the ones with the money.

So now what?

Im not.

Start some world PVP, its really not that hard if you get out there and make friends then piss off some enemies. Start some wars.

Maybe do some dungeons? they are great in this game, seriously.

If all else fails, try and fill out your history and lore sections.

I think this pretty much explains it all:

They already said several times they want ppl to go open rvr far far more, and just today MJ said he want it to be %26quot;the place to be%26quot;. You wont get a perfect game at release, but this game is far more polished than any other mmo i played at release.

It really depends on where actually... on our server T3 is really having a lot of open RvR while in T4, it's quiet as hell. Wished there was a temporary debuff to delevel myself so I can join T3 open RvR. I mean, take away my post-T4 skills, I don't mind but don't rob me of being able to go to WAR just because I'm 1-2 levels higher.

Here's what gonna be normal for me these days.. at least till everyone in T3 level up to T4.

Got home from work around 8ish, login around 9. Did 1 scenario. Guildie shouted on guild chat, Thunder Mountain keep under siege by 20+ Order (a whole warband), 6 Destro defending. I rushed over. Killed a bunch of Order, more Destro came (about 2 parties full), chased them out. Waited for a bit. 15mins past, half the party left. Went around Thunder Mountain looking for them. Couldn't find them. Went to all BOs. Nothing.Went back to Keep, waited 30mins past.

I drop and started queing scenarios.

Waited... nothing.

Got into scenarios.

Came out.

Nothing.

Got back into scenarios.

Got back out.

Nothing.

Went back to Caledor and started doing Quests (PvE) and que for scenarios.

Total time spent waiting for something to happen in Open RvR = 2 hours (maybe a bit less)

Karak Azgal EU is good for OpenRvR.

The balance between the 2 sides is really good, if you want some decent oRvR come roll with us. You won't regret it.

Game has to compete with WOW for customers, it cant be a beta release because people would simply not switch from wow on it, and right now L40 content is missing pretty much along with rvr rewards/items. Its not daoc days anymore where they could release a game with no itemization for a zone and get away with it, there are better products on the market atm.

ORvR is there, you just have to get off your behind, find a group and get to it.

On my server over the past week or so the ORvR wars have been quite common in tiers2 and 3 with keeps starting to change hands quite often except for empire vs chaos tier2 keeps as they are bugged and cant be captured by order. But its starting to take off in the rest of tier2 and in tier3 (dont know bout tier4 tho as i aint got that far yet)

It never that hard to muster up some people for RvR. Unfortunately these days ppl want everything handed to them. Get some people together, start taking objectives. More people will show up, including enemies.

If they don't, then start taking keeps.

Sometimes you gotta make your own fun.

I'm paying 15$ a month for scenarios.

I don't have more than about 1-3 hours a night tops and I enjoy being able to play 10-20 scenarios in that time. Sometimes I will look for Open RvR or PQs when my gaming group is not online, but when I only have about an hour it just takes too much time to run around.

Oddly enough, some people actually like doing scenarios... go figure.
